Academic success begins with being present every day in class.  

BNL Attendance Policies

DAILY ABSENCES
- Students will receive 4 Parent Excused absences each Trimester.  If a student is absent, you can contact the attendance office to excuse their absences by: 1. Email, 2. Phone Call, 3. Note (brought to the Attendance office by the student the next school day).  
- To excuse an absence beyond the 4 Parent Notes, a student may submit a Medical Statement.
- Any absence that is note verified by parent will result in an Unexcused Absence
- Unexcused Absences are monitored:  BNL will partner with students and parents for these concerns.

ABSENTEEISM & TRUANCY
- Excessive Absenteeism can be a concern as it impacts success of students academic progress to graduation.  BNL will work directly with students and parents to alleviate absenteeism.
- Truancy is identified as 'skipping' school.  Students that elect to skip class or skip a day of school may result in school consequences.

TARDY
- Students late to school will be designated as Tardy, and may result in school consequences.
- Students late to class (P2-7) will be designated as Tardy, and may result in school consequences.
